Oatmeal Bread

(Disclaimer: Dearest Amy, If you're studying this, please don't pummel the life out of me. I write this in nice fun, figuring out you're the sweetest lady around, and hence I actually have {hopefully} lowered my probabilities of being pummeled.)
Once upon a time...
In a land semi-far away, the position the cows had been many and the of us had been few...
There was a tiny metropolis referred to as Carey. (Population 600... within the event you rely the cows.)
In Carey, a lovely lady named Amy lived collectively with her parents, three sisters, and three brothers.
And Amy was in love. With her entire heart, and mind, and soul... and stomach.
She was fully madly in love with...
TOAST.
TOAST waited for her at residence each one single day, trustworthy as can be. TOAST all the time smelled good. TOAST all the time made her actually experience high-quality inside. TOAST was easy... low-maintenance... and equipped to be with Amy any time of the day or night. Amy beloved to butter up TOAST, and TOAST beloved being buttered up via Amy. They literally fed off each one other... er... I supposed that edge was one-sided.
TOAST and Amy had been intended to be collectively forever, and to this day, Amy's love for TOAST lives on...
...
Okay, so that was a little bit ridiculous, but it is also simply true.
Amy is my sister. And she actually does love toast extra than anybody I've ever met.
Maybe I exaggerated, but that exaggeration is minimal.
Seriously. I'll provide you an example:
One yr for Amy's birthday (16?... 17?... I don't remember), her "birthday cake" was composed completely of toast.
I'll provide you one other example:
Amy is a great basketball player, and began at the varsity staff in excessive school. Her train created a play with Amy in thoughts and dubbed that play, "Toast."
I kid you not.
And I simply so occur to have considered one of the finest bread recipes for making toast. (Amy will love me for this one....hopefully sufficient to make up for the silliness above.)
This Oatmeal Bread is rustic, chewy, and so, so, good! When toasted, and buttered, you have got got the makings of the right toast.
I made a loaf of it at 10:00 AM today.
Three hours have passed.
It's gone.
Take a look
Here's the dough all combined together.
Here's the dough after growing for and hour and a half.
Here's the dough within the pan, all equipped to rise again.
Here's the dough equipped for the oven.
The cease result.
If you have got via no means made bread, do no longer be intimidated. This loaf is simply no longer intended to be perfect, and is simply no longer necessarily supposed to be "pretty" sandwich bread, which makes it huge for newbie bakers. It's huge plain, buttered, or together with your favourite spread... and it is EASY. So, so SOOOO easy.
