Tourtière, also known as pork pie or meat pie, is a combination of ground meat, onions, spices, and herbs baked in a traditional piecrust.

Ingredients

Meat
  • 1/2 tsp Bells poultry seasoning
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 lb Ground pork

  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1 Onion, small
  • 2 Potatoes, large
Refrigerated
  • 1 Egg
Baking & Spices
  • 2 cups All purpose flour, unbleached
  • 2/3 cup Butter or lard
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon, ground
  • 1/4 tsp Cloves, ground
  • 3/4 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg, ground
  • 1/8 tsp Pepper
Liquids
  • 6 tbsp Water
